Jira Migration Checklist
Verify checklist state before retiring the old Jira environment
Inspect a destination issue, compare its exposed checklist totals with your source expectations, and see a clear explanation without changing Jira data.

Why this exists
After a Jira migration, a checklist can look present while item counts or completion state no longer match the source. Checking every issue manually is slow and error-prone.
- Checklist totals that no longer match after a migration
- Incomplete items that were unexpectedly completed or lost
- No clear indication of whether Jira exposes compatible checklist data
- Risk of retiring the source environment before verification
What it does
Focused capabilities
- ✓Read-only inspection of an entered destination issue
- ✓Checks the exposed compatible checklist property
- ✓Optional source total and incomplete-count comparison
- ✓Clear complete, incomplete, missing, empty, and mismatch results
- ✓Duplicate visible checklist-label detection
- ✓Privacy-safe aggregate instrumentation only
How it works
Enter
Enter the destination issue key and, when available, the total and incomplete checklist counts from the source environment.
Inspect
The app reads the compatible checklist state available through the current Jira user and never writes to the issue.
Verify
Review the result before retiring the old environment or escalating a discrepancy.

Inspection result
Checklist state is complete
All exposed items match the expected completion state.
0/1
All 1 exposed checklist items are complete.
Evidence and testing
The production candidate has been exercised against a real Jira fixture with one exposed HeroCoders checklist item and a completed result.
Scope disclosure: the first release verifies the compatible exposed checklist property. Other checklist vendors require their own compatibility evidence.
Privacy and security
The app reads only the destination issue and compatible checklist state available to the current Jira user. It does not create, edit, or delete Jira data.
Issue keys, checklist text, people, customer identifiers, and installation identifiers are never sent through the app's instrumentation. It records only coarse aggregate event, result, count-bucket, and latency-bucket totals in Forge hosted storage.
