Leafmile Privacy Policy

Your local reading journal
Leafmile stores book and edition metadata, reading journeys, self-reported progress, personal notes, next steps, dates, time zones and revision history locally on your device. Correcting a record retains its original values and before/after revisions. These contents are not sent through our app-defined analytics. No catalog lookup or app account is required.
Device backups and exports
Your Apple device backup may include app data according to your device settings. Pro exports selected records as linked CSV files or personal notes as Markdown; you preview the content and choose a destination. Exported files and the service you choose have their own privacy practices. Exports are portable records, not an import or full backup/restore feature.
Optional screen and offer measurement
If you choose to share screen and offer activity, Leafmile uses Superwall to measure fixed onboarding-page and navigation events, notification-permission outcomes, paywall interactions and purchase/restore outcomes. Discount-copy variants A and B have separate impressions and dismissals. Book names, authors, journal notes, positions, identifiers and onboarding answers are not included in the app-defined event names or parameters. You can turn measurement off in Settings. This clears unsent app events; it does not remove information already delivered.
Information processed by providers
While optional measurement is enabled, Superwall may process app-installation and device identifiers, device configuration, app/OS versions, language/locale, session timing, subscription state and paywall activity, and approximate location inferred from network IP addresses. Fixed events are not a promise of anonymous processing. SDK handoff does not prove server delivery. Provider retention has not been independently confirmed. We do not enable advertising tracking or send your journal content as user attributes.
Apple subscriptions
Apple processes payments and subscriptions through StoreKit. Leafmile reads verified transaction and entitlement information to unlock Pro exports. Monthly, annual and recurring annual-offer plans provide the same Pro access. Books, notes, progress, corrections and rereads remain available without a subscription. Cancellation or expiration does not delete your journal. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple Account settings.
Optional trial reminders
Permission on the bell page does not start a free trial. A local reminder requires an eligible trial with a verified end date and notification permission. It is scheduled one day before that end date when possible. Delivery depends on device settings; a reminder does not cancel renewal. Disabling reminders, or an entitlement refresh with no active trial, cancels the pending reminder.
Your choices and support
You can edit records, archive/restore books and disable optional measurement. Device backups and exported copies are separate. Uninstalling removes app-local storage subject to Apple backup behavior. If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond. Do not send your journal, exports, payment details or personal reading notes by default. Policy changes
This policy describes Leafmile's implemented launch configuration. We update it when features or data practices change. Effective October 2, 2026.
