Privacy policy

PoreEvidence: Pore Clog Check is an ingredient evidence app operated by Alexander Landaverde. This policy describes the information handling of the iPhone app.

Data we collect

PoreEvidence has no account or PoreEvidence server. Starting with version 1.0.5, the app uses the Superwall SDK for analytics about its native onboarding and paywall. It sends fixed event names for which onboarding screen was viewed, onboarding completion, paywall views and dismissals, and purchase or restore outcomes. These events contain no custom properties, scan content, or answers.

Superwall also receives app and device information, including a persistent SDK or device identifier, app and operating-system version, device model, language and time zone, purchase or subscription status, and an approximate region derived from the network connection. This information can be linked to the app installation and is used for analytics and SDK functionality. In App Store privacy terms, the collected types are Product Interaction, Purchases, Device ID and Coarse Location. We do not send your name, email address, contacts, photos, recognized text, ingredient lists, scan results, or onboarding answers to Superwall. Superwall processes its SDK data under its own privacy policy.

PoreEvidence does not use this information to track you across other companies' apps or websites, does not use it for advertising, and does not sell it. To ask us a question or make a privacy request about analytics data, contact support@alexanderlandaverde.com.

Camera, photos, and on-device recognition

The app can use the camera or a photo you choose through the system photo picker to read an ingredient list. Text recognition runs on your device. The app does not upload the photo or recognized ingredient text, and it does not save the source photo as part of scan history.

Local scan history

If you choose to save a result, the app stores the reviewed ingredient text, any product label you enter, the result, the saved date, and dataset and parser versions on your device. It does not store the source photograph. The app also stores local preferences such as onboarding and tutorial status, the free-scan allowance, and whether you enabled history. These records are not sent to us.

Evidence links and exports

The app includes links to cited sources. Opening one is your choice and opens the destination in your browser; the destination's privacy policy applies to that visit. The current app does not provide an export feature for scan history or scan data.

Purchases

Optional subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. The app uses Apple's local transaction and entitlement information to provide subscription access. Analytics records only fixed purchase and restore outcome events; those event records do not include payment details, product IDs, or receipt contents. Apple's handling of payment information is governed by its own privacy policy.

Your choices

You can choose whether to save scan results, delete individual saved scans, delete all saved history, control camera access in iOS Settings, and remove the app and its local data through iOS.
